the idea is originally from a Man Ray photo (taken in 1920something). the reasn it's on the back is obviously vecause that is where they were on the womans body in the original photo (and just to be clear, that apocolyptica pic is a direct reference to the Man Ray photo, how she's sitting and all). I think this show wit and charm, i want one too.

i don't think it's actually tattooed on her... i think it's just photoshopped like the rest of the lines. if you look the right f-hole is going over another line... it's not actually on her back... at least that's what i see... i may be wrong. anywho i like this as a shirt and as a tattoo. 4 |

It's on the BACK because that is the angle from which a woman's body looks like a violin. If it was on the front, there would be tits and legs in the way ruining the hourglass shape. I'd buy it if the f-holes were smaller, like in May Ray's print. ;P
