I'd like to see the rose become very graphic (via Illustrator). Right now, even with the color difference, the whole "sketch" is too uniform. It needs contrast.

Center placement, most definitely, and perhaps a bit smaller? I do agree that the rose needs more contrast, although it doesn't nessarily need to be more graphic.

This reminds me of one of the X-men movies ... 2 I think. Where Iceman makes rogue a rose out of ice.

so Ima thinking, if I were to re do this... Sketchy hands (as they are) and um... vector - ish flower? with blocked in red and dark shading?

I like it now, but I would also like to see what it would look like with the revisions you talked about after seeing the comments, too. The rose and hands are beatuiful.
