Give them a rest. It reminds me of the days when the elipse and flames where so played out that I took an oath never to use them again. No matter how much the client offered to pay me. Design for yourself, not for what's trendy! |

traceface on Jun 06 '06 Thanks for the feedback jimjim. However, I have been a longtime lover of birds so i didn't do it to be "trendy." If anything, I hesitated to submit this design at all because of the proliferation of bird t's but I got such a good response from friends about the illustration that I decided to go ahead and submit. This shirt is more for me than any of my other submissions, because it is the one I would most want to wear.

while I like birds, and drawings like, that./ birds have become a little flooded in the craft/shirt/art community. beyond that, Im not TOO into the scale of the birds in the cages, and the tree.. If you work with that, it would be great..
The birds being too big for the tree, makes me feel that the tree doesn't even need to be there, so its just adding stuff for the sake of adding. |

the idea is fly! but i don`t like that there are so many blue cages on the tree.. in fact i see it better if the free bird has always been free and now steals the cage.. the bird with the cage is enough.. ua uauaa.. :P good one!

if threadless can print another skull t-shirt, i think they should print another bird shirt. this one, to be exact. it's better than some of the other bird tees they've printed. this design should have gotten a score higher than 2.48.
