I did consider the use of the older, more ornate vents, but I felt their styles would have clashed with the more geometric, modern ones, but I didn't try it. I do agree that they are quite beautiful though, and I appreciate the advice (as comments like "bad" or "stop" from other members do not really say much due to their lack of specificity).
