i haven't submitted in nearly a year i think. maybe more. bleh. maybe i lost faith in the site and my chances of winning.

but this blik contest sparked my interest so i thought i'd submit this, a kind of rework of one of my photo edits. you can see the original on my devart if you want, it's ok.

oh, i wasn't really sure whether to give him feet or not. i like the idea of his belly flopping over buildings, but feet can be added nice and easy too.

The belly floppin' out looks a bit like a uni-boob. I was quite mistaken at first.

Yes, perhaps add some feet so that it does look like a belly - so people don't think it looks like a big boob.

please grade the design and not the colour of the shirt. if the threadless crew think it will look better on a different colour they'll change the design to fit.

The monster itself & his hand (especially his hand) is so stylized and has a lot of chacater & life! Sad thing is, everything else which surround him (buildings, spaceships, even flower) is rigid, making it stale.

I agree with making the clouds the light color- generally, blocking in a design (as you have it now) is a no-no.

Overall, nice job.

eskimo: carried away didn't get printed because of the design framing i think. it was a nice design, a nice idea, but i framed it badly. sadly, i no longer have the hi res psd, so i'd have to restart from scratch. having said that, i do plan to get a new version of it printed eventually :)

mezo: i know exactly what you mean. i hate drawing cityscapes, especially in such a limited vector style. i like the sky a lighter colour, i think it gives it more colour, but if everyone (which seems so) wants it with the clouds lighter then so be it. i'm not going to argue ;)

it's a tad bit too bright, and ther's a tad bit too much yellow. other than that, well done design.
