2 colour schemes, the one on the top right is some lighter colours with orange as the peoples.I'll resist the temptation to submit this to bliks off the wall contest.
o, BP, how do you do it? amen my brotha, amen
i love you, i really do.
kind of fucked up. not all palestinians are rock-wielding savage-heathen boys. at least not all of them
^decide for yourself whether that was sarcastic or not
you are so sweet and funny and THANK YOU for this grade of sophisticated humor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if no one should like it and there is no interest of threadless in this i would so much love to produce this tee for you, me and the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there is a fucking great chance to sell it every in the world to people who will never know threadless!!!!!!!!!!!
i could find them for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahah I like it, but people will scream racist on this one. :P
Don't worry, T-Shirt Hell will most likely steal this by the end of the week.
Yeah they steal ALL their shit. No joke.
Anyways this is probably the first design from bananaphone that i like. 4
this is a strange time to start liking me =P
that's a godd idea, you should submit it to t-shirt hell before they steal it.
they say the max they pay out is $500, ask for $500
I love this $5
$5 just for the over teh top bad taste of it all.
I just wanted to say that it upsets me when anything to do with israel/palestine, and their conflict is quickly linked to the holocaust.
It seems the freedom to speak is limited as long as you don't mention israel, jews, and/or their relation to current conflicts in the middle east (particularly with palestine)
This is clearly a tongue in cheek design, which sits arms length away from any political view on either side.
I actually enjoy throwing rocks myself.
Having much distaste for the Israeli government, I can't find this that amusing.
I must have this.
Your best yet banana!
You stole the colors from http://www.threadless.com/submission/72138/Let_There_Be_Color
Actually not only are the values different, there is no yellow or white.
So fuck off, and quit bitching just because you were sprung for stealing not only concepts directly off someone elses design, but their colours AND style.
You got busted asshole, live with it.
1) Thiagob didn't invent grunge.
2) There's no such thing as stealing colors.
You busted your own ass, bitch.
If theres no such thing as stealing colours why accuse me of doing so, from a CYMK using design no less?
Obviously you're not a designer, you're just a stupid fuckwit.
And you don't think theres such a thing as stealing an entire colourscheme?
Lets see you run around with mcdonalds colours and a yellow M and see how much they care... I think you'll find not only you're incredibly wrong - but just because I haven't said it and stressed it enough.
YOU ARE AN IDIOT.
Thankyou for dropping by.
"If theres no such thing as stealing colours why accuse me of doing so, from a CYMK using design no less?"
It's called sarcasm, fool.
no no, you are mistaking sarcasm for stupidity. Don't do that again.
i really dont know what to say about this.. i had to stop and think for a bit. i'm pretty interested in this conflict and as a result of what i have learned i have a problem with Israeli as well as American policy and action in regards to this issue.
your shirt is really interesting though.. i mean, no one denies that Palestinians are angry with their occupation and of their treatment as second class citizens, as a result they ARE throwing rocks (about the only thing they have to defend themselves with against American donated Israeli tanks, etc)- the media sure does a good job at specifically showing these biased anti-palestinian images. That may make your design be interpreted as a bit of a prejudice statement. However, simply showing the wall in your shirt says a lot about Israel's role in the matter as an oppressive source of illegitimate power- and of course, you do say that palestinians rock... hahahahaha.
well- i'm going to go with : this is a somewhat sarcastic balanced view of a complicated conflict with a portrayal that is controversial- yet not without truth.
the original version had an israeli tank and sniper on top of the wall, but i didnt feel like they came out well enough in the design.
"not all palestinians are rock-wielding savage-heathen boys"
you seem to suggest that throwing rocks at the people who are pointing guns and tanks at you is savage. Seems kind of restrained to me.
Anyway, I could see palistinians wearing it, I could see jews wearing it. Anyone with a sense of humour as big as their interest in the world.
aw, bananaphone, i wish the sniper and tank could have stayed....at first glance i thought this shirt was making fun of palistinians, but then i looked at some of these comments and realized that it's better interpreted as meanMRmustard has. i like the way you've portrayed this issue, but it did take me a while to take it all in, and maybe it's just me being slow, but that's what i'm worried about...me wearing this shirt and people getting the wrong message because they only get one glance at it. i think the sniper and/or tank would've make it a little clearer, but if you can't fit them in, you just can't...even so, i think this deserves to get printed. cool design.
i might not wear it
but i have to admit, it's really funny.
it's so predjudice, and i don't think u or anyone has the right to judge the nation!
ok, I think this is incredibly distasteful. poeple suffering and dying isn't my idea of a good basis for a jokey t shirt.
in all the fervor over the message and politics of the shirt, people seem to be neglecting a pretty key point: the design needs some work. The little people sort of look like the Pathfinder window got really pissed off at you. So I mean, chances are, this isn't getting printed, so any argument over who will be affected by wearing it is pretty moot.
maybe someday i'll need a present for a dude i don't like!
this is a great shirt, i would wear it any day. i realy don't think that this is disrespectuful in any way, it only shows how much palestinians have to struggle to fight for what they believe in. $5!!!
ps i like the pink and blue color scheme
Um... is'nt Neodreamer guilty of stealing colors himself?
yeah I didn't steal any colours, neodreamer is just shitty that I was the one that busted him on the blogs.
When I was young I used to throw rocks with a friend, after a few weeks he was gone, I think the army took him.
as much as everyone may or may not like this shirt we all know it will never be printed so why bother scoring?
if you don't want to score, then don't. There are thousands of submissions that will never be printed, so get over it.
that's not true at all, if anything it's bad taste =)
I just showed thsi shirt to my brother, and all he could sayis "oh that's horrible!" In conclusion, please take mideast politics to another website.
what an interesting shirt and conversation about a shirt. i wouldn't wear it because i'd probably piss off my friends--on both sides of the figurative wall. it's interesting what people have to say about it. it's unfair to portray one nation as violent but then they wish you had put the tank and the sniper in the design! also, if israel built a wall like 15 ft. high, it seems to me like either no israeli tanks (most of them, btw, are israeli-made, called Merkava, not american, as the experts here have erroneously blogged) or snipers are getting over, or it's far too lame a wall to make a stink over. hey, i'm as left-wing as any good Park Sloper, but last i checked, being a liberal did not preclude one from using a little seikhel (that's yiddish for kopf, brain) and telling the truth.
thats not very tastefull...
i dont think id feel comfortable wearing this shirt unless i was palestinian. still love it though
