^^^HAR!!!!

Why do the Sputniks have to be pink and blue? I assume this is your simplstic way to assign genders to them so that we all know they are in (heterosexual) love. Correct me if my assumption's wrong.

I'd suggest instead of pink/blue maybe you could just use two differant satellites and arrange them to create the mood you want. You could even use Sputnik 1 and Sputnik 2 and keep the same "Sputniks in love" theme. My point is that there are other ways to show "being in love" than painting them in traditional boy/girl colors and surrounding them with hearts.

I'd LOVE to own a cool Sputnik shirt and I like the way you drew them, so please try to make another one.

I hate to be such a killjoy to those ultra feminists/gay activists out there who really care that one is pink and one is blue to "assign genders to them so that we all know they are in (heterosexual) love", but JUST MAYBE the colors blue and pink don't really suggest ANYTHING and you. "Joan Burroughs", are the sexist one at fault here for assuming they are in (heterosexual) love.

Well, I suppose the sputniks could be a silver colour, with the heart aura in red and pink around them, but I think I like the colour dynamics in this shirt better.

Although American culture does use colours to indicate gender, the pink and blue for girls and boys scheme has only been going on since the turn of the century or so. Prior, pink was assigned for boys as it was the "younger" colour of the manly shade of red, and blue was for girls as it was thought to be a passive colour. I imagine that colour assignment is due for another change soon.

In the meantime, I like the design.

It's a cute design, but I really can't imagine it on a female with C or larger breasts. It would look odd. Also, the blue aura could be just a little bit lighter, because the pink one is a lot more noticeable, which interferes with the idea of symmetry. 4

leave it to threadless critics to scrutinize a designer for useing the two main fucking gender colors there are because of the whole gay thing..

Wouldn't wear it because too many people wouldn't get it.. And I agree, on a girl.. woah. First thing I thought of.. I know some idiots who'd laugh at it because they'd turn it into some sexual thing...

I, however, think it's alright.

if the sputniks were white and black, it would be just as cool.. the colors make it a bit contrived.
