Yet another submission,
Have you ever seen that bad movie back in '96 with some scientist who has an island and creates all these weird cross-bred animals? Well it was my inspiration for this piece. Seeing how Dr. Moreau made "hybrid" animals, I found it fitting for him to drive a hybrid car. Seeing how gas prices are so high and all...

Just looked on imdb to find when the first film of this story was out, and found that someone made a video called "The Island of Dr. Porneaux". Haha.

I'm far too easily amused.
But not by this design I'm afraid. It's a very tenuous link, you'd have to explain it to eveyone. Um... that's it.

I like the concept, but the overall design is sloppy

I am kinda surprised they put my design up here, I figured nobody would get it. Is the sloppy and messiness comments aimed towards the line work or the drawing itself? I drew it all with straight lines but it looks kind of flat so I used some calligraphy type lines to give it some weight and a sort of "rough" look. In my opinion it looked better with the inked lines, but I guess i was wrong.

The car and the people don't look like they were drawn in quite the same style. I think it's partially due to the fact that the people are solid white, and the car has a ton of color on it. If the people were more detailed, this wouldn't be much of a problem, I think.
Dr. Moreau would drive a hybrid, heh.
