I like it! It would be nice if the guy had two umbrellas,then he won't have to suffer as well; the fortunate helping the less fortunate sort of thing.

i see what you mean, i only chose one umbrella because i thought it showed that he put others over himself. but i can see where two would make sense.

this is one of my FAVORITE if not just plain favorite overall from the red cross who carries two umbrellas?? nobody, that's who. also his having two might imply that he's only helping because he has an extra, if he only had one he might not. but since he only has one, the point is clear. nicely done. $5 |

i really like this and much as i hate barcode designs- this could have pretty funny if you had gone down that road.

yeah after it was all done i thought about adding a 125 under the rain to look barcode esque...but then i opted against it.

thanks im very happy with that bench in general as i had a completely different bench head on view there...and it looked flat and bad so i drew that one from scratch in photoshop and changed the perspective on the sign to match it and i think it really helps the piece

This is a great idea for a shirt... and it works pretty well for the Red Cross, I think. The only real suggestion I have is to vary/lighten up the rain a bit more -- it's too overwhelming as is.

i enjoy this idea a lot but.... i think taht its all very the man rescues damsel-esque. the shirt and design is very cute and made me smile so much when i saw it, but i guess i'm more for breaking stereotypes. maybe having the lady holding the 'brella over aman? i donno...

I think it's a solid idea with a solid execution,plus you get bonus points for not being a threadless shirt covered in butterflies/birds/traced images from google/ and anything wearing headphones. Nice work!

I love it. Definitey a 5. Reminds me of those charming old movies, but still goes with the theme. Subtlety is a plus with this one.

Easily a 5. It's full of meaning without being sappy, the use of hearts/the world. It's one Red Cross entry I'd wear.

The rain isn't doing it for me. The super-unrealistic lines of rain are juxtapoed (learned that word yesterday, tell me if I'm using it wrong) against the very realistic wetness on the bench, stroller, and man's jacket. I believe it should either be all un-realistic, or all ultra-realtistic. Don't mix them, there like orage juice and chocolate milk. Don't mix well.

Great illustration = 5 but I think I'd like it a little better if the rain was staggered along the edges a little instead of being cut off in a straight circle. That's my nit picky 2cents.

I love it. I disagree with cowmasta13's proposition that surrearlism and realism don't mix. The best of art often combines the two.
Still, I think the rain should come down at an angle, if you were to change one thing. Under no circumstances should there be a second umbrella, however. |

i havent seen that music video, and as far as coming down on an angle goes with the rain i thought about it but it wouldnt have the same blatant "no rain" area right under the umbrella which was the look i was going for, although i agree it might have made it look more like rain and a little less stylized, thanks for all the feedback everyone, i really appreciate it.

I like the guy. He seems to have nice hair and a good physique. Also I like the rain how it is with the more realistic and less realistic mix. I like the baby but at the same time I don't want it there so that they can hook up, hah.

so much underlying hook up tension, you can just see the sparks, besides noone said the carriage had a baby in it, it could be full of cans for recycling, or kittens, or even contraceptives for your "hook up" theory, whatever helps you like it more...im so very desperate...

I like it a lot, just not the oval it is in. I'm not sure how to do it differently, but it looks awkward. I really like this shirt though.

This could basically be used on any somewhat dark colored shirt but i think this is the best color of all the choices.
Anyways, hope to hear some constructive criticism or comments, good luck to all who entered.
