The shirt also came in a bunch of different colors, but for some reason it isn't displaying them...I followed the directions but it apparently did not work out so well. The other colours it came in were Denim, Athletic Heather, Turquoise (which provides an interesting contrast with the water), and Dakota Slate

@ luciasaurus: I know, I debated the text issue for a LONG time. In the end I found it more amusing to include text, but make it small enough that it isn't obtrusive. The worst part about the text is that it took me hours to get it right, although that is not exactly evident. I wanted it to look handwritten, pathetic, and strained.

I really like it but it feels sorta "down" for a mass appeal T Shirt. But I love & I get it; just a little sad :)

i love the silliness of this. i don't think it's meant to be any kind of social commentary on cadged animals because the accompanying text doesn't really make sense in the context of the animal; squids, even uncaged, never really 'soar'. so i think that exaggeration or metaphor is an indication that the whole thing is to be taken lightly. . but everyone else thinks it is so sad! to me, the squiddy's sadness and cuteness are both funny and endearing.

the text is fine. helps get the message across for those that may not get what's going on otherwise. sad, but worthy message...

the design is so strong it doesn't need the text.

Nice. VERY nice. At first I did not see the "I". That just makes it seem like bad English. Whats up with that?
Wait I misread it. again. I thought it said "I once I could soar". but before thought it said "Once I could soar"- which I think would be bettter sounding. don't know.
I like that the text is there, I would have no interest with out it. Pretty bland if only the picture - think about it, people. You made the font look good.

'Soar' is right if you think of the water as atmosphere. Water is 3 dimensional 'air' to underwater beings, except thosse which only crawl on the submerged surface.

I love the design.

It has to have the text.
It's what makes it so melancholy but so .good.
