yeah man, i was really up in the air on this design as far as color, placement and screen contents goes... so i just made up a couple options and i chose the jenny thing because it was a) recognizable and b) from the same time period as etch a sketch (at least when i remember it from, im not so certain on the actual history of the etch a sketch. i think it's been around since the 50's or something right?)

really good idea though!!!! i really enjoy it, but you need to fix the knob thing and the jenny thing is fine, because i mean...it's a phone, you need a call list =]

i like the concept, but the text -- especially in the "y" -- has more curves than i remember etch-a-sketches allowing -- everything should be pretty much straight lines.

orange pride... thats more of a rene magritte concept, wherein an illusion is created to blur the lines between the art and the reality.... this is a completely different concept, where two familiar objects are combined to create a new object. i can see why you thought they were similar because they are both etch a sketch related, but the similarities end thre. as far as that one being better, you're probably right...

I love the fact that it's an etch-a-sketch, but the Jenny thing is overworked, I think it would be better if it just said "Hello?" Or something.
It's still about a four though, just for originality.
