Wonderful art. I really like this, and I'll buy it, but I'd like it more if there was some... pattern? Sense? to what the folks are doing. As it is, they look a little chaotic.

The second plane from the top, flip it horitontally and I think it will improve. Besides that, lovvvve it! Buy it!

The different characters don't look like
they are reacting to their environment. The Egyptian isn't reacting to anything. The samurai is focused on something near the ground which we can't see. The knight is focused on something in the air which we can't see. The trenchcoat soldier seems to be focused on the back of the knight's leg. All of this is happening without any of the characters giving attention to the nuclear explosion in the background. |

I like the colors and each character is drawn really,really well. It's a little too blobbed together though. Everything could be arranged a bit better, in my opinion.

looks like you don't need my comment. I love it, it's a lot like the rope a dope stuff (awesome). $5. Only suggestion would be more use of the black (graphic novel style). but it's awesome.

I agree that each character looks fantastic separately, but in their current configuration they wind up looking like clip art. The mix of styles would be beautiful if, as helo noted, the design itself were coherent, but right now you have five separate elements and five separate styles just... next to each other.

what? 20th century war is already represented on the far right, in a figure that doesn't invoke a very specific subject that people are still sensitive about (nazism). the egyptian is good. would have loved to see a roman on here. $5 from me still.

Those images are from a book! I've seen three of them before. How could you not tell they are diferent, anyways they are such different styles. What a fraud!

proletarian on Apr 26 '06 I used picture out of a history book as a reference for the egyptian and the eagle on the knight's shield is from a clip art book. Those are probably the most simple elements in this piece and I think using them hardly makes me a fraud. The rest of the characters are hand drawn from scratch. Maybe you should start showing us these magical books rather than going off of some vague memory before you excuse someone of being a fraud.

This would be THE most perfect black shirt EVER!!! It has to be printed!!!!!!! PLEASE threadless!!! How can you print "I Hate Stripes" or "Know Your Meats" and NOT print this?? I'm not saying those other two are bad necessarily, but they can hardly be compared to how awesome "The Art of War" is. I will DEFINATELY buy this :)

I really hope this design will be resurrected and reprinted... it's SO good. This is one of my favorite designs and it's disheartening seeing it unprinted still. They did print Sapins, so hopefully they'll look back at this missed design.
