I immediately thought this was another Red Cross sub. I apologize for my assumption.
I like how the butterflies are going in and out of the heart, not just fluttering around inside it.

wouldnt the red butterflies be going out of the aorta? maybe fix the whole oxygenated non-oxygenated butterfly thing and then it's a five and buy.

The design should be positioned over the heart. Other than that, I like it

Haha. I just realized that it would be. I don't do well with mirror-images.

your heart is on the left, and that would be on the right...you were right the first time

Center placement slightly leaning left would be more accurate. Kudos on getting the blood flow right! I googled it to check, hehe. (http://www.clevelandclinic.org/health/health-info/Pictures/heart%20blood%20flow%20lungs11621.GIF)

I've had butterflies in my stomach, but never in my heart. Dumbass. Get a job.

The deoxygenated/oxygenated sides are right, they're just going out the wrong vessels like Sir_Minimus said (pulmonary - blue, aorta - red). And it looks like there's a hole between the ventricles as well as a completely random blood vessel at the bottom right, unless that's the thoracic aorta, but that shouldn't be connecting to the heart.
Needs some fixing, but it's a good start.

This is a very nice design (though, i agree it should be over your heart/breast-pocket ... not sure if the sample is meant to be actual or mirrored). I had co-workers walk by my desk, stop, gawk, and tell me it looked cool. Dunno if that counts for multiple "I'd Buy Its," but you've definitely got mine!

...butterflies in the heart....
is it like heart fibrillation? That's...not good, it'll kill you, for real.

yay, we're studying the cardiovascular system in school.
...maybe i can wear this for extra credit?
or on the test...

Cute idea. i really like how you haven't just copied and pasted one butterfly, there are quite a few different ones.

And YES, i have heard of a fluttery heart... i've heard it used when describing the feeling of being in love or similar!

PatheticIndividual needs to get a life....

I've heard the expression "my heart fluttered" . It's what happens at that moment when that guy you really like notices you. err, yes, anyway...

Perhaps it's not such a well known phrase outside of the UK

I think this is a good execution of the idea.

heart flutter is when you're in love, i think. either that or it's some condition like heart murmur >.>;

anyway, i think the blood flow is actually wrong o_o; and there's something weird about that apparent hole in between the chambers. read what leslee said carefully haha.

i really like how it's not just one butterfly copied and pasted over and over again :] and after positioning this over the heart, this will be great!

maybe its just me, but i don't hardly even notice the butterflies

yeah the point wasn't really the butterflies (though they are a play on the medical condition 'fluttering heart') but to show the circulatory system, too.

luciasaurus on Apr 21 '06
oh, & re-check the heart-it's not anatomically correct.
but hooray for attempting the cardiovascular system?

A heart flutter is a heath problem where there is a hole between teh ventricles. It should be more properlly illustrated by a few butterflys of the wrong color being in the wrong place. Also there is a hole beween the right ventricle and the aorta in that picture which is a mistake, teh blood flows from the left ventricle into the aorta behind the right ventriclein a pathway that is out of view.
TheOrangeOne
TheOrangeOne on Apr 23 '06
Lol, now that I look more carfully there's extranneous holes and extra vessels all over place, clean that up.
TheOrangeOne
TheOrangeOne on Apr 23 '06
Ther should be red butterflys coming out teh top wher you ahve blue butterflys and there should be no vessel where you have red butterflys coming out. teh blue butterflys should be coming out both sides of that vessel that looks like a cossbar and reb butterflys coming out every hole in taht big arched vessel on top. (Pulmonary areteries=blue)(Aorta=red)

And the wrong side of the chest, lol, this is turning into an anatomy lecture sorry.
But damn.
TheOrangeOne
TheOrangeOne on Apr 23 '06
Actually, the condition I mentioned is a heart murmur. Heart flutter is irregular heartbeat so teh hole in the center of the heart is wrong too, and this shirt has no meaning as a pun.

^ you know, butterflies don't actually course through your veins either. give me some artistic licence slack, hey? i'm not a scientist.

shouldnt the position of the graphic be on the left because thats where the heart is. i dunno, maybe im wrong. otherwise great job. i have also heard of a fluttering heart :D

isn't your heart on your left?

TheOrangeOne
TheOrangeOne on May 17 '06
lol, your heart IS on your left, wow. There is a difference between artistic liscence and the fact that a shirt with an anatomical heart loses impact when the heart looks as much like a heart as an ice cream cone does.
