Without reading the title, it looks like random things on a shirt and then you think about it. Also, try having the club and spade be within the borders? Just a thought. $4

^i agree with keeping them ON the cards
maybe a little more detail in the borders or making a card shape around the inner border?

i like that it takes a few seconds to get

as is 3

I really like the concept the placement is just kinda boring.

redsugar on Apr 15 '06
I love the concept. I'm not sure you even need it (like hellothere said, I like that it takes a second to get it), but you could put A's on them, so they're obviously aces.

ohmystarsNET on Apr 15 '06
great concept - but i'd definitely make them look more like playing cards. i'd have them in a spray with the rest of the deck next to them. and the club should be confined to the card. damn, i want to go remake this now!

I looked at this and didn't get it for a second ... but then I quickly did. It was so clever. I like the idea ... but the graphic looks a little sloppy. I'd prefer the club and spade within the border of the cards, and the diamond not in a ring.

great idea, but needs more design... especially if you want it to sit on a white shirt.
maybe pronouncing the card borders a bit more, adding more detail on the cards.... something

how is that a spade?
Sushiful
Sushiful on Apr 16 '06
Joshchang, do you even know what a spade is? Sheesh.

It isn't that hard to figure out what the images are, but I do agree to keeping them within the card borders.

i only like it on the white shirt actually

i agree the objects should be within the card borders, and maybe more card detail/shading, i really like the concept though its almost there.

i think you ought to fill the cards with white, and place it on a shirt that's not white. it'd make up for the simplicity.

i first thought: heart, golf club, ring, shovel and was thinking this was a meaningless shirt with no central idea. took me a few seconds. cool concept, maybe a little more work on the actual drawings.

I really love this idea, it took me a really long time, but yeah, if the club and the spade weren't going off, I think I would have gotten it faster.

But this is really clever, fix and resubmit because I would totally buy this

this is cool; i feel slow because it took me a while to get it, and I thought it was something to do with what people find essential in life..then I was wondering why a gardening spade was there. Anyway - it's an awesome design, and REALLY sweet on black.

I love the concept. As it is right now, I'd give it about a 3. It took me a second to get, and I like that a lot...but maybe make it a bit more obvious. Add more cardlike detail around the borders, and I agree with the rest on keeping the shapes inside the cards. With thos echanges, it'd be up to a 4 or a 5. I'd consider buying it.

i really, really love this idea, but i would probably be more likely to buy it if the club and spade were inside the cards. nice work, though.

Why not do them in a 2 x 2 pattern. I'd buy that. I mean, I like the idea a lot. Hell, I think having the club and spade extend beyond the borders is rockin'. But I agree with the placement issues.

nestic on Apr 19 '06
I agree with some of the others, it's great that it takes a second to get...but it doesn't look like cards. The objects should be within the borders and maby a thicker frame. Fun idea!!

Cinnamongir1 on Apr 19 '06
I like it in theory but not sure it works.... the fact that those are cards is lost in all of the colors. I'm not sure what to say about the boundaries on the club and spade.

red shirt? or something other than white, anyway. you've still got a colour left over, don't you? you could still have white cards.

i like this but i agree that the club and spade need to be within the lines. also, adding As to make them obviously aces would be great. and i would love if the placement went down the side of the shirt or something, and they were staggered, you know kind of like:

x
x
x
x

THAT WOULD BE A SHIRT I WOULD BUY.
suspiria
suspiria on Apr 22 '06
oh great, those werent staggered at all.
