That hats need to be different and reflect the 1700s (French Revolution), not the late 1800s/early 1900s (top hat). The illustration is well done, though. 4

the guillotine was first used during the terror of the first french republic in 1792 and those hats are inaccurate...and the witch hat is totally out of place. the red cap of liberty would fit because of it's strong associations with the french revolution.

There shouldn't be any slack in the string. If there was slack in the string, the blade would fall and the pickles head would already be gone :P Make the string tight and it gets a 5.

when i say battery operated, i mean he pushes a button attached to the long string like object. and when the button is pushed, the blade disconnects and cuts zee head off.! maybe? stuff like that ya know. hah.

i love how the defense of the technical failures of the illustration on this shirt are all "they're freaking pickles!!!". it's hard for me to ignore the details that aren't correct, the string, the moustache, the fact that witches were burned or drowned. but the pickles are cool, and the idea, despite the lack of attention to detail, is nifty. 3. with details fixed to be more accurate, 5.

Despite the current rallying of support for pickles, the first thing that came to my mind was cigars. I mean, I'm no fan of pickles but the ones I have eaten I never decapitated first. It's good as pickles but I'd enjoy cigars a bit more.
