mezo on Apr 04 '06 You know? I don't even care that you used standard brushes and didn't try to create your own. This is a decent design. Not something I'd buy...but it's ok. Maybe it's the colors used, or the negative/positive space play. Just try to be a little more creative next time.

=p That being said, um... It's a really cool idea, lol. Not crazy about the institutional bathroom colors you have going with the salmon/sick green/grey, though. |

i'd like to think that the apparent chaos and confusion of urban tagging or whatever you want to call it, actually has a very fresh sense of identity and esoteric language. i get the brush strokes are meant to repreasent the real, colorful, vibrant underside of the city that gives it it's actual cultural?

The white and pastel one is a little too 8O's looking, but not in the good way. Sorry.

Cool overall concept. I like the way the scribbles emulate blurred electric lights. On the lighter colored shirt, the teal color seems to dominate the left side, but the black one works well, especially the bright green...kinda like the trails of a glowstick. Plus the black color suggests the idea that the city is silhouetted which is I think probably your main goal.

No killerlamb, your's was definately worse, if nothing else because this guy at least used interesting colors. however, this is still bad. I'm sorry, i just don't find sillhouettes in front of scribbles that interesting.

Just a correction to the title: it should be Aurora Urbanis, not Urban Borealis, since "Borealis" means "Northern" (it's used when referring to the Northern Lights- the ones in the Southern Hemisphere are called Aurora Australis) and "Aurora" means "Dawn" and would be referring to the lights. I like the design though, and I prefer it on black.

well the scribbles werent ment to look like the aurora they just kind of gave me that vibe.

I say the crow was better executed, at least the colors meant something and enhanced the overall effect, the only problem with mine was that you couldn't see the crow very well...

You know what, killerlamb? I have decided I hate you. You don't submit many t shirts. I've never seen one of your t shirts, except crow. And all you do is slag off other people. People want constructive criticism, not condemnation!
By the way, I'd give this t shirt 2, because I'm not so fond of the colours. But I like the negative effect |
