I think "getting the painter's in" is a euphemism the British use for a girl on her period. I kinda wouldn't want that on a shirt (if that's even what you were referring to) but a lot of people probably wouldn't understand it anyway. Without the text, though, the animals are cute.

I like the shirt, and yeah, the animals are really cute. And while I like it, I don't personally feel a need to tell everyone when I've got my period. So with the text, I wouldn't buy it. Without, I would consider buying it. And if that's not what the underlying meaning is, well, I'd go with a different color shirt. ;)

Although I really like and find the font suiting, I think the image can stand alone without the phrase --but then again I had to read the comments in order to get it. If it holds significance to you, you should keep it, but in my opinion red paint on a white T-shirt would make the message more clear.

i got it the moment i saw it... and i agree w/ the comment immediately before mine -- you're under the color limit -- make some red paint scrolls like they've been brushed or rolled onto a white (or black) shirt, and ditch the text.
i have no qualms wearing shirts about periods. i used to have a 'vinnie's tampon case" shirt once upon a time, w/ the words: "your period doesn't have to be a drag".. the front was a drag car promoting the cases. yay menstrual humour. |
