what's the purpose of posting that link? are you saying Glennz ripped you off? stole your idea? what? there's no relation between the two apart from the fact that the subject is a paper airplane. i can see if the ideas were the same, but they're not. should every subject you submit be permanently retired so no one else can even make a similar submission? hey, i'm not trying to be rude, i just don't understand your logic. |

All this shirt does is follow the same "sure to get printed" style that you always use. It's not an interesting idea at all, its an overdone theme... you just get away with it because the execution is just well done. Take your ability and do something that doesn't make me yawn.

Once again a well executed but cheesy design, very one dimensional in its formal qualities. The idea is accessible and this seems to key into everyone's rabid love of this shirt, its easy to get and slams work, simple concepts. Its kinda like a catchy song, you like it at first but it has no staying power. Its middle of the road, but well done, no doubt get printed and sell out..yeah. |

i am far from what mont mont is, but i respect the fact that he has interesting ideas. I didn't say it was bad, it's actually done really well, I guess i'm just bored of boring ideas, and I know for a fact that this guy Glenz can do a whole lot better. He just has his finger on the pulse of cheesy puns which most people tend to do. My opinion obviouoly differs to most. He probably works in and advertising agency or designs logos for a living, and if he doesn't, he should... because he'd be good at it.

montmont on Apr 01 '06 Ha, I'm not really jealous at all. The design is just a little flat for my liking, and lets be honest about the placement, its a dog to work it right with a shape like what Glenzz has for this sub. Don't get me wrong, I have mad respect for Glenzz and his skills, its just that its all a bit the same, like a TV show that gets into its 5th season, you still like it, mostly cause its familiar.
I actually don't really like the idea, but the design solution and execution is kick ass. Its just not something I like. |
