I agree with streetwise. I actually thought he was holding a dog in his arms and, as a dog-lover, began to get all sentimental about the value of these animals when it comes to keeping lonely people company. Then I realized that was probably dumb, and the real meaning hit me. Anyway, losers like me needthe whole story. Maybe on the back?

a reflection on the water would be hard to draw, but i think showing the beam of light moving out with the image (ala "batman") would be cool, if that is possible.

it's kind of hard to read that as a lighthouse - even with the cap and pipe - but adding length to the tower would be a bit akward with the image centered - maybe if you moved it to one side

I found the whole concept
real easy to pick up.

I like ruda's suggestion to add some
length to the lighthouse and I liked
carrifaery's suggestion of having
the shadow projected on a nearby
cloud. We could be looking at the
back of the lighthouse caretaker
with his arms sideways. And
nearby would be a huge shadow
of a dog head on a cloud.

I don't know, I think it's pretty clear that it's a lighthouse, and that the guy is shadow-puppeting with himself, as is. It's simple and subtle. $5.

I really like the design concept, but the image is a little too 2D looking...too much like it was fully assembled with Paint and clipart. The subtlety is great...I wouldn't do any kind of projection of the silhouette, nor would I change the placement. Just build up the lighthouse with the same care that was put into the shadow-puppeting figure.
The railing is waaaaay off scale, for example.
If refined, this shirt could be a 5 for me.

The way you worked the lights & darks are supurb.
I would like to see more length to the lighthouse, including the stones. It would ass more definition and power to the main part of your design/

I'm actually really glad you just focused on the man with the dog hands. If you create a dog shadow, it just kind of takes away from the main design. . . so 5$

Wow, I saw so going to comment that everything in the drawing looks great except that something about the dog just doesn't look right. After reading the comments I feel stupid, since now I get it.
