The Dude never struck me as a Fat guy, just a little paunchy. I added some lines on his belly for that effect. Plus, the robe hides a lot of his structure. Whatever. Thanks for the love evrybody, and keep those quotes comin'. I'ts probably the most quotable movie out there.

This is missing something... and is a kind of ubiquitous design. You could have tried adding something like a recipe for a White Russian, in nice readable type... wth a few lines. Know what I mean?

Sorry J-Ray, but I tend to disagree. I believe simplicity is the key to good design, and I kept the image as unadorned with unnecessary extras as I could. As far as the ubiquity of the design, I also disagree. You may have seen a design based on The Big Lebowski before, but that doesn't mean it's omnipresent. This is a one-of-a-kind illustration, and resembles no other designs I've seen on threadless.

OK I like this movie and I like the drawing and I get the connection but the first thing I thought of when I saw it was Clip Art. I'm not trying to be an asshole just giving you an honest opinion. I don't know what constitutes something as cliparty or not or wether or not that was what you were goin for, but I don't like it as a shirt. Good idea and everything.

Ouch. Clip-Art? I hand drew this with a pen, scanned it, and painstakingly transferred it to vector, so you can accuse me of using clip-art? Where is this magical set of Lebowski clip-art? I'd love to have a look at it. Maybe it could help me jazz up my business documents.

The only thing I see that makes him look overtly skinny is his neck in my opinion. He's a cartoon. Cartoons look weird with thick necks. Just a thought. I just watched Lebowski the other day, and I've seen it a million times, and I would not discribe the dude as a fat guy, just a slob, which I think I've represented well.

Its a nice idea.. but as everyone has said... on the skinny side, I would like a dude shirt, but I would hate to see it printed without the changes just because everyone loves the movie. But I do think this is the only smoke friendly shirt that would ever be printed on threadless, and so I support it. Legalize it, bob marley said it.

I'm not gonna make changes. If threadless digs it, so be it. But I resist all this skinny talk. I think the dude works just fine the way he is. People tend to comment based on previous comments, and that's what's happening here. It probabaly won't get printed, (threadless seems to hate everything I do) so I'm sure you'll get the last laugh, but the illustration stays like it is.

I can't believe this comment.

This site is absolutely over-run with ripped off images, scanned photographs, captured video images and clip art. And nobody ever says anything. In fact the more recognizable the image, the more people make comments like; ‘you’re such a good illustrator.’

Then BusCaptain does an awesome caricature and people start making accusations of clip art. This site is going down the crapper.

BusCaptain I’m giving you a $5 n’ buy for actually doing what this site is all about – creating artwork.

Do you know how HARD it is to find a quality T-shirt that has ANYTHING to do with The Big Lebowski? The closest I've seen is my roomie has a band T-shirt that has Walter pointing the pistol. As long as this is dyed in, and not that iron on plastic latex.. dealie.. you find in places like Hot Topic, I'd pay as much as $15 for it. Excellent design, and I don't think The Dude is too skinny at all.

i loved the big lebowski. i loved my ex boyfriend. unfortunately i wouldnt wear this shirt bc of my ex. but otherwise this is wonderful i would have bought it back in the day.
