yeah, yeah, yeah, great artistry here and good design sense and all that, but if i see one more submission with and asian (or otherwise) girl looking off into the distance with a bunch of streamy/drippy/flowy stuff all around (including butterflies, trees, flowers etc.), i'm gonna pull my hair out. Hears and robots and ipods always get a bad wrap for being common submission themes, but seriously, this is like the millionth girl+flowy stuff submission. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. You're clearly a talented artist, i'd just like to see something new.

AWESOME colours and design. I'm torn on this because of how it's another girl-with-flowy-things sub, but it still the Absolute BEST of it's kind that I've seen.

There's a lot of awesome illustrations that wouldn't look good on a shirt. While this isn't a completely awesome illustration, it's perfect for the shirt. $5, the flowery girl thing may have been done before but here it's done best imo. I think the swirly lines that go across the middle really help.

i think it's a great design, my concern lies in the fact that it relies on a stereotype of people of asian descent being obsessed with import cars and racing culture, take the car out and it's a strong design even if it is similiar to many past designs.

I've read the above comments. And I agree..but, it's still a great design. And if "girl looking off into the distance with flowy, flowery stuff around her" sells, then it sells. And if it sells, then people must like it. You obviously have talent. Nice job. But I also agree- broaden your horizons. You have the ability.

of course there will always be reoccuring submission themes - i'm just trying to raise awareness for this particular theme who's reoccurance has been ignored due to vast amounts of attention being placed on heart, robot, and ipod themes being so popular. girls and flowy stuff are the true evils, not hearts and robots. |

wow... this is really good :) I love these kinds of designs but I still haven't had the chance to own one... and this one is by far my favorite! I also sort of have a thing for the "asian girl" theme. I've liked many of them, but most don't seem to get printed. The lines and fine details of everything and ESPECIALLY the placement of the design make this shirt flow perfectly together... I NEED this shirt!!! $5

i guess the "asian girl flowy stufff-looking off in the distance" is part of the ukiyo-e tradition, yeah? you know, the wood block prints? all of those portraits of courtesans & actors (in drag) standing amongst cherry blossoms or maples or bamboo., etc.
plus the damn superflat style that seems to have a chokehold on graphic artists-- also Japanese in origin. plus my gut reaction to this one is "f*ck yeah." |

the plane is cool, the tower is cool, the car doesn't kill it, but why and its huge relative to the other symbols.
