It's a neat design, but I don't care much for Wells.

another great contribution to the critic and the lenguage, man!

what good that you take care of your words, you simplify so much the things, that everything summarized sadly in "likes or I do not like this or the other"... anyway man, hopefully you become more time to read, thus you will be able to criticize with advantage.. and poetry! Have a nice day!

mred on Mar 10 '06
PS: I cannot to see your designs in the page... how I make to see them? where I look for your designs?

I would like much to see and to learn of you

Was Wells Jamaican ?

cambert
cambert on Mar 10 '06
It's time you learned you manners, mate. The people commenting are the ones that vote for you to win $1000 and get your designs printed (or not, as will surely be the case).
SemantiTheft
SemantiTheft on Mar 10 '06
WTF? The first comment was COMPLEMENTING YOU!

I believe this was the first time that a designer insulted someone for complementing him. And I really like that you attack the way people phrase things, when all are more coherent than your comments.

Rasta Wells, yeah!

I'm just curious why you are submitting 50 author designs all at once? Was this some job or school assignment you did and then decided they should all become t-shirts? Cause the designs are okay but I don't think they really apply to t-shirts and definitely not to the threadless arena. And just for future ref.- people get tired of seeing the same idea/subject matter/concept over and over again. It doesn't seem like you really intended all these designs for t-shirts or for threadless. Its like you just decided to dump all of them here as an after thought.

tell me ROCKSLIDE: What is what is ill? to place what I wanted to place or not to place what should have placed? to be thus, of to have made a mistake, they should not be more... elegant to tell it?

I will be able to go improving (or not) my intentions and I thank words as yours and not insolvent like other. Simply like this.

Thanks, and let's rock.

you really need to have someone translate for you, ^^ that is just sad
melhel86
melhel86 on Mar 10 '06
Ok I was nice at first but mred you are rude and can't take any form of critcisim. Your translations are so horrible that they don't even make sense.

So here it goes. The color choice is horrible, and the drips are not needed, while your overall style isn't all that bad your attitude and the actual subject matter isn't. Not only that, but there is no concept you took a photo of the author and their most famous works and drew pictures of them, come up with an original idea.

mred hablas espanol? He visitado tu website y me parece que hablas espanol.

melhel: Thanks by your words, they are really... adorable, not as mine, so gross..

anyway, I don't agree that the forum be spoken since the point of view of: "destruction that that do not i like", that's all
mred
mred on Mar 10 '06

Espero me hayas entendido, sino me traduzco.

Gracias por tu apoyo (aunque yo no comparta del todo tu opinión, sí merewce todos mis respetos)

hey man keep it up im loving these. people gotta understand that even though all of these are a sort of series....you dont have to buy every frickin shirt because of that. Individually, ive seen like 3 of these i would really wear and i think that people need to look at them individually because individually they are strong. Keep making them.

Ok man, I am seeing the tired of shirts that are same in visual see. I want not to be rude man however this many lots in great quantity not make good things. In many additions, you have the mean spirit at the people who are giving you the number scores. So man I am of think that you spend should time of less making many submissions and spend should time of more making few submissions. Then you be will getting the votes that are big, man.

thanks men, to that theysay to me that it doesn't say anything when they insult of frivolous way any design of any person (in this case, mine) and thank you very much to all those that accepted with harmony that everything cannot like it but that everything can PARTICIPATE.

And specially to all those that requested to me in private which it sends the drawings to them to print them in yours t-shirts.

It has of everything, and to all, thanks.

mred
mred on Mar 11 '06
only remember to them to the most denied people, than above of the page, in pink, it says PARTICIPATE and if the people "it salutes" with incendiary commentaries who people present her designs, so, it needs the respect to the judges of the page who were to accept those designs.

Just let it go, and take it for what it's worth.
BloodyMidget
BloodyMidget on Mar 11 '06
personally I think that almost all of your designs that i have seen here so far are unoriginal, uninspiring and really kind of boring.

Stop advertising your stupid Class&Co.

If you are really trying to get people to like your design then you should try and not be so unaccepting of constructive criticism and actually be nice for a change.

I am sure that there are some people out there who like your designs, but looking at the finished scores on your designs so far I really dont think that they are at this site.

Keep on designing but maybe design things that are more relavent to the audience.

Also try and diversify your submissions...these are all starting to run together and I think that is hurting you worse...

Also asking to see everyone elses subs is kind of irrelavent. There are some of us here who are actual designers and do not have the time to submit 13 designs at once because we actually work...

mred's shirts are amazing. maybe threadless isn't for me, but this is my favorite submission i've seen (other than the baby in the glass).

i grow tired of those "pretty" designs. the best illustrators don't usually design the best shirts. my little brother designed two fantastic shirts today that would never ever ever get printed here, because while they are simple and perfect, he didn't vary his line widths.

Bloody Midget,

I quite disagreed with your comments "design things that are more relavent to the audience. "

The reasons that designers participate here is to showcase their

ideas, design skills and styles.

They are not here to compromise the design sense with the audience/voters here. If they are, they are just like any other

commercial graphic designers out there and just follow the

client's changes.

But then again, i quite agreed with you that designers need to

diversify their design styles.

Iut of all your shirts I've seen today I think this one works best, I love H.G. Wells and would be proud to have a shirt with him on it.

However like everyone else is saying, the colors need work and the drips aren't needed.
