on a coloured tee and smaller... maybe lose the big medallion in the background, but I really dig everything else

you would think by the 50th submission one might get printed, but no.

Ouch!

This one appeals to my poetic sensitivity, but seems too bland to be on a white tee

(Sorry, horseisahorse, my comment wasn't poetic, but doggerel--I'll try harder next time...)

i don't see why these get such harsh comments - they're much better than looking at yet another shirt submission of someone's girlfriend or lame schoolyard scribble - keep on mred

Learn some new design elements to incorporate. They're all just variations of eachother.

as someone else said, quality, not quantity. too much of a mediocre thing doesn't make it good.

I particulatly like this one because all of the included elements from his stories. It seems more relevant than some of the others.

And try to expand from this, you dont want to be considered a one trick pony.

oh, it's you again! are we still picking on you because you put your sig on it or have we all moved on from that? it's so hard keeping up with the times...

the drip really doesn't seem consistant with the rest of the design. keep it sharp, crisp and you may be onto something.

I think your designs are great and I like that you have a series going - something that's your "signature" - but they're just not right for Threadless. I think you need to do something else with these independently...learn how to screenprint and make your own shirts, put the designs on something else, etc.

I dont feel that the drips and the 60's font coincide with the theme. Goodluck anyways.

c'mon, buddy. WAY too many subs at once. i feel overloaded. you're pushing too hard. space them out so they stick out more. every single sub feels unoriginal, like i've seen it somewhere, because you've got 4839348943 of the same style out right now.

i like this series and i like this shirt, except that the Nautilus looks like a big vibrator. is there an HG Wells in the waiting? William Morris? Edward Bellamy? heaven forbid-- a Fred jameson?!

Webdreck on Mar 15 '06
You're getting a lot of stick aren't you? I haven't seen all your other shirts (just the Flaubert one I think) but I really like this, although I agree you could lose the drips. I don't have a problem at all with the font, it's got an old-fashioned decorative but also futuristic feel perfectly suited to the subject.

Next round: Alfred Jarry, Raymond Roussel, and Nikolai Gogol.

webdreck: Gogol is great! good idea
