the drawing and the style are seriously fantastic.

that being said, i don't like the drinking 'n' driving implications. i hate being a spoil sport, especially when this is a better drawing than 95% of the other submissions, but yeah. lose the wheels and give the machine a solid base though, and i'd love it!

just for the record, letum, i never said this "supports" drinking and driving. i said it implies it.

thing is, i KNOW this design was made with the most innocent of intentions... extra tasty is a website about how to make various alcholic beverages, and i'm pretty sure that's what the artist was going for -- you "make" magic potion with this machine. plus the drawing is gorgeous. but the implication of a drunken thing controling a moving vehicle is there for me. i'm probably oversensative to it having had a number of bad experiences with drunk drivers.

so yeah, i'm not saying this is a shirt about drunk driving. just saying that there are people out there who have been caused unspeakable misery by drunken driving who may read it wrong. i swear the only thing preventing me from fiving all over this design is the wheels on the bottom. :)

no, as i've said, i totally realize you don't, treebeans. honest. i know i'm seeing something that is in no way MEANT to be there... sorta like some submissions of cylindrical objects look just a teeny bit too phallic, you know? anyway, i always like your submissions and frequently give them really high marks... this one just leaves me a little cold... possibly 'coz my ex best friend is in a heap of trouble due to his alcoholism and DUIs right now, and thus i think this would be taken the wrong way in my social circle. you have done nothing wrong with this submission at all -- i just can't get fully behind it like i do most of your designs.

It's funny, I don't see a car at all, I see him using peddle power to get his machine working. I don't get the sense he's actually going anywhere. I think it's a great design :)
