About the design

sweet and silly and $5

ddcrandall

Wasn't there a similar shirt or sub a little while ago? I believe that's anatomically incorrect placement, anyway.

note to biology fanatics: i used a bit of artistic licence with the placement, because frankly, no one would get it's a stomach if it was higher up. kthx!

SemantiTheft

^I wasn't sure I got it BECAUSE of the low placement: I get butterflies in... my kidney?
I don't think that even the most ill-informed of people believes that the stomach is anywhere near that low, that far over or that large. It just makes it look goofy, honestly-- and I'm not a biology fanatic.

judeo18

I don't think its well illustrated. too many butterflies, and nothing interesting about the style of the stomach. 1.

mininess

It's a nice idea, silly and cute, but I don't think it's working. I have to agree with above, too many butterflies and the stomach's design is pretty boring. $3

WhatisGod

awwww...cute

AmanDUH

not original..

emwight

I love the idea... I just wish it was different somehow

pluty81

butterflies in my tummy~~

simpatico

been done

cambert

Not keen on the copy-paste of some butterfiles, or the basic literalism of the image. It feels more like the beginning of an idea than the end result. And if you make a shirt that refers to anatomy OF COURSE people want it to be anatomically correct. Artistic licence with anatomy tends to look like ignorance, even when it isn't.

xelliex

Well I think it's fucking suh-weet and I pretty much NEED to own it. Gives a fuck WHERE the stomach is?
Would you all complain that saying 'heart on your sleeve' would be anatomically incorrect too?

SemantiTheft

^no, if you were working with that phrase. The phrase here is "butterflies in my stomach" not "stomach on my hip."

artificialwater

I still really like it. I think it's clever.

jeff@threestarchina

Sort of clever - it's just alittle obvious and the concept doesn't really leave room for an interesting illustration.

greenfinch

simple - but i really like it.

supercoolroxanne

I don't like the placement or the fact that it looks like a kidney...clever idea though - I'd score it a two.

LichksnessMonster

um, yeah, I immediately loved this shirt.. the placement doesn't bother me that much, but if it WAS changed, I'd go hold Threadless hostage to make them print it. Otherwise, I'll just sit here & cross my fingers.

placentaVORE

it doesn't look remotely like a kidney. and for those of you who are complaining about the placement and think its a kidney...ummm...the kidneys are located dorsally , so the thought of 'kidney' should have never come into your mind according to your own reasoning. also, half the crap on here as 'been done before' and basically everything that is made today uses inspiration on something that has been done before, so that complaint sucks.

granted, there are too many butterflies, some copy and pasting issues, and not the most original, but the lines are nice and smooth, the colors are decent, and placement can always be changed, so well done and don't give up

onlylonely

concept - yes.
but i feel like there should be fewer butterflies. less crowded, maybe a couple larger and a bunch of small ones, but not so many.

has potential.

owen skyser-gray

i don't want to buy it because i don't want to have to answer all of the whines and gripes about "oh boo the stomach is in the wrong place and blah blah blah"
too bad normal people don't understand the artistic reasons of the placement.

Joybuzz

What is the "artistic reasons" for placing a stomach there? If anything it will make boys look like they are carrying a fancy man bag.

kafferslee

i like the idea....but the pink on pink is .... ewwwwwwwwwww.

^ LOL re: fancy man bag!

speechless

I don't have a stomach there. Just, you know, btw.

twangd

clearly, it's an inflated SPLEEN.

whining about placement is just retarded, because you'd have to apply that arguement to everything submitted. i viewed the rubix cube hands one today and as far as i know, HANDS DON'T GROW ON YOUR BACK. i'm sure you can deal with a <s>spleen</s> stomach on your hip.

despite this, it's a bad design. you've taken a well known concept and executed it poorly. the clip art butterflies are far too generic, the pink colour is almost sickening considering it's for human anatomy and the inner design is far too crowded.

ongweide

Very refreshing idea for a shirt! Very quirky.

emily_edamame

it would be cooler if it was in a more exact place of the stomach. kind of like those xray /clear skin shirts

wetdream

Too many butterflies take away from it, I think.

And the placement is perfect. That's what a stomach looks like, it doesn't matter where you stick it on the shirt, you geese.

Overall a good idea.

untamedclare

I think that if you believe no one would realise its a stomach if it were anywhere else on the shirt, then you're a bit of a condescending twat. you get 0 for assuming that everyone is less intelligent than you.

Siafu

I used the same concept for some Valentines postcards. Good woork aniway.

etniegoboom

hahahahahahahhaa

vkyk

awwww... I ADORE the idea. It's so cute. BUT the image of the stomach... just made me loose my appitite. BUT I think it's pretty cute :]. I just don't like the pink. Still 5$

ohdinosaur

uhh pretty groos :P

shaaa

oh dear i want this.

xxvenom

sweet. love it
