Design does look retro.
Color choice is weak. Yellow Green causes a sick feeling to it. Idea is okay. Execution could be better. |

d3d on Feb 27 '06 i'm surprised at all the "weak colour" comments. i actually consider this one of my best yet in terms of colour. they aren't colours i'd ever wear myself, but for the theme and the style i thought they were pretty good. shows how little i know.

I don't mind the colours at all. Gives it a citrusy, summer feel. Very nice!

starr226 on Feb 27 '06 dude, lime green and yellow is retro. it's thematic, and really what the complaint should be is that they wouldn't wear the colors, not that the colors don't work. they totally do.
it's true to his original intent, it's visually interesting, yet balanced, the background work is very very nice. if this was in blue it might be more "wearable" but honestly, it would be boring - this is just right like goldilocks. |

i think the yellow looks nice with the shirt, although looking at it too much gave me a headache. i bet it would look better as an actual shirt though.

Awesome, but not on yellow. Try a blue or sage. 4 as it is, 5$ if you change the colors.

A message to all the guys that have a problem with the colours - take a visit to extra tasty and take a look at the colours used on the site. You will see that d3d's colours compliment what is there!

The illustration is fantastic, the best of the bunch, but it's not funny or quirky like the other threadless shirts.

i hate to be predictable, but sans the yellow as a shirt colour dude. or better yet, draw a rounded corner rectangle around the image, keeping the yellow, and choose a different shirt colour. because you're right, the yellow serves the IMAGE well, just not the shirt.
