Wow, I am so glad this tee-shirt was printed, because I never in a million years could've gone to someone else's website and download someone else's Photoshop brushes and then jsut slap them all over a tee-shirt with some generic shield symbol behind it. I mean, really, how long did it take to d othis shirt? Like a whole 5 minutes? I wonder what this site would look like if it had real designers making real designs? Gee, I don't know, maybe, a lot better!!!!!!!!!!!!

The question is not whether or not it's techinically difficult, it's whether or not it's aesthetically pleasing.
I do see the points here though. Sometimes I love a design because I can see there was good work put into it, but then sometimes I just like a design because it looks good. |

"Amnesiac's Free design is one of the highest scoring designs ever here on Threadless. Thank god we printed it!" im guessing this guy just got all his friends to vote a "5" for it, cause i really dont know how this got printed, let alone the one of the "highest scoring designs ever"

Many people do that i guess, making their friend vote for them and stuff. But i do see the reason for this tee to be printed out. Cos its a real nice design. I agree with wat CMYKchic says... A good design dun necessary need to take months complete. Even an uncomplete artwork could become a good design. And if you do have the patience to check the last pages of Scored designs... You will realise that some designs have really low scores despite the amt of votes... Hmmm....

Just curious, whats the concept and idea behind this shirt ? Free, yes as the title says, but why w/ big crosses all over it ? Maybe it´s me but i don´t see the "free" feeling in it.

nopattern on Jun 15 '03 im wearing this shirt now. why? because i like it. not because of how he made it. when it comes to art and what people see in the end, it matters not the process but the results. and the results are nice in this case. stop your whining and offer some constructive criticism rather than your know-it-all crap. when i wear this shirt people dont say 'hey whoever made that shirt stole those brushes from whatever dot com" they say hey nice shirt and move on. chill out.

Seriously, what's the big fuss?
What I see are a couple of 'sore-losers', if you will. Just be happy for the guy/girl. Sure, the texture isn't all original. But who the hell cares? It's how it's USED, not what it is in nature. 90% of all the artwork here is sampled and recreated from existing stuff. It looks good, people voted for it and it won. It's also sold like mad...so evidently SOMEBODY likes it....including me. Though I haven't bought mine yet. |

This shirt is great. Easily one of my favorite things on Threadless. Sorry if it was too easy to make. Who cares? I saw someone on the street wearing this and I was instantly jealous. There really needs to be a darker version though for the goth kids.
