Is this supposed to represent something really really deep?

Because I'm just not getting it.

at first i thought this was a shirt for colorblind people...then i thought it was an apple and an orange..now i'm still a little confused.

Its an apple and an orange. its from the saying "As different as apples and oranges." Its just a fun little play on that. If you can't tell the difference between apples and oranges. I dunno, just an idea i had

I totally get it, and I think it's a cute idea. The only thing I suggest is making the orange and apple a little more "drawn-like" to match the rest of the illustration. Hopefully you know what I mean by that.

but the problem with the shirt is that the cliche is "comparing apples and oranges."

it means "to make the mistake of comparing two things that are clearly not the same. "

the text just doesn't make sense if you know the cliche...

I'm gonna pretend he's holding a golden delicious apple and a red delicious apple.

Oh and thw way the ground just ends in the middle of the sirt is bothering me - having the placement on the left side would fix it.

and the text could be re-worked a bit.

isn't the saying "that's like comparing apples and oranges" it doesn't fit the context of your shirt at all

Hey, Chickenfoot, this is Threadless, a t-shirt design company. Most of the ideas actually put shirts aren't overt. Such as "The Morning After." It's hungover clown, but some people are just stupid enough not to get it. Cheers!

I love it. It can be taken in many ways, it's simple enough but has enough to make it not look boring.
