Inspired by this Office Space movie line: "Human beings were not meant to sit in little cubicles staring at computer screens all day, filling out useless forms and listening to eight different bosses drone on about about mission statements. " –Peter Gibbons

i don't like the "Memo" font... it's so different from the boxiness of the word "cubicle"... but other than that, very well articulated.
streetwise
   streetwise on Feb 23 '06
^ Memo was a modern simple font, and thought, this shirts about freedom from the office, so changed it to a more casual/human font.

What's going on in the "E" cube? Is it a runaway turd? Surely not...but I can't see it!

The way you did CUBICLE is very nice. The giant biker & tiny clip-art looking bird bother me.

   streetwise on Feb 24 '06
^ thanks for the feedback guys. the bird is an eagle that i drew (it's not clip art), and the size is large because it's in the forground. made the eagle slightly larger, because it's a symbol of FREEDOM from the corporate world and wanted it to be more symbolic and less literal, but if you guys want it smaller that's cool too.

This is fantastic, especially the thought that you put into the contents of the letters (I thought you might get lazy and put a desk in the b).
streetwise
   streetwise on Feb 25 '06
^ nah, no desk in the "b" more like a big-ass rat to symbolize the rat race... (-;

i think 'runaway turd' is actually the bike tracks that lead outside the building
streetwise
   streetwise on Feb 25 '06
^yes, rockmeamadeus, but in addition to the bike tracks, the person also dropped his papers and his morning coffee when the memo came out "think outside the cubicle" he dropped everything and got the hell out. :-P

Very cool. The use of the cubicles to form the text is great. Very well done. I like the concept and theme as well. I won't comment on the sun. >;-)

^ ha, bort, i know you didn't like the sun, but it plays into the line art of the rest of the design, plus, it's 50's mod cool like that.

Cheers and thanks everyone on cubicle!

And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire...

Bob Slydell: You see, what we're trying to do is get a feeling for how people spend their time at work so if you would, would you walk us through a typical day, for you?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah.
Bob Slydell: Great.
Peter Gibbons: Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh - after that I sorta space out for an hour.
Bob Porter: Da-uh? Space out?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.
