(whoops. hit post too soon). Nice idea. Critique: The logotype needs work. the "A""S" combo read as an FL initially. Also, the '"C" and the "D" are disconnected for no reason. The "D" reads like a sort of "A". Perhaps if it was inverted so the top was wider than the bottom?

I would also consider adding a bit more tension to the illustration. the side view of the shuttle in the gantry is very static and doesn't fit with the concep of 'ASCEND'.

As my GD prof used to tell me: "Nice start!"

Join the cross stroke of the A to the Right hand vertical and continue the white stroke around the shuttle illo and it will look more fluid and more readable. Good Typo. Nice Idea.

The shuttle itself is pretty aweome...I'm not sold on the text though.
