About my design

Who needs postmodernism? I say its time we stand up and fight this elusive philosophy. Who will join me?

I will join your crusade against vague, sappy postmodernists. I will not go to any meetings or anything, but I will sure as hell use this shirt. Nicely done.

I abhor this color, but I love it so much I'd buy it anyway.

I know that the people in the picture are post modernists, but I really want the bubble to say "It's NOT all relative!!"

I dunno... Jacques Derrida has a point. Or, rather, he specifically avoids having any distinct point in order to show that there is no one absolute point. Form follows function, I suppose.

And, if we toss Ferdinand de Saussure into the mix, who is to say that anyone else truly acknowledges that which is signified by your (de)sign?

Post-modernism aside, it's a fun idea. I just dislike the execution. Then again, my opinion is relative.

Saying, "It's all relative," as a lazy way to win an argument is for slackers. That's not postmodernism though. I'm not keen on the qanti-intelectualist impulse that this shirt signifies.

qanti? Anti, I meant.

I realize that this shirt simplifies postmodernism, but its just a joke.

Postmodernism like every other systemic philosophy has both pros and cons. This shirt is a brilliant satire of one of the biggest cons - the pluralistic cop-out. i'd wear it with pride. i'm not completely anti-postmodern, nor am i a modernist. But i love taking stabs at postmodernism, because as a philosophy, it prescribes that those who hold to it cannot criticize my vehement criticisms…because they must acknowledge that my anti-postmodernistic thought is every bit as valid as their loyal subscription to it. However reality proves that this aspect of the philosophy sounds good in a college classroom, but usually doesn't play out well in the real world.

Well done Judeo! Very funny!

Postmodernism is not so much a philosophy as a condition of capitalism.

that being said, a clip-art shirt decrying laziness and postmodern pastiche is either a joke from the get-go OR helplessly uninformed and absolute hypocrisy.

Most of the boneheaded wads that went to university with me would have said, "It's all relative, you know!"

I'd like the "I know" bit.

But mind, most of those wads didn't look half so sophisticated. They were wads that looked like wads. These pomos likely have a little more class.

I know, I know: what the f*ck am I saying? Shut up and vote.

Fiver.

You just made a college Arts student VERY HAPPY.

I would buy this in an instant if it came out.

Hopefully in two colors. I like orange, but I only sometimes have the charisma and energy to wear a very bright shirt.
