The disfunctional family adopted a floating head?

also, there is nothing wrong with adoption and more people should do it, so that should stay out of the equation.

The adoption part bothers me too--otherwise i think it's funny.

Yes, it's horrible, sad, and too close to home for some. But it's the absurd truth of it and the over-the-top-ness that I find appealing, poignant and, yes, funny.

I think it's great that any family would adopt a floating head. Due to a preference in this country for kids with bodies, floating heads often languish in foster homes or as wards of the state until they turn 18, when they are lucky if they can get a job at Wal-Mart as a greeter or doorstop.

Where does it say abuse has taken place? Be wary of your own inference verus an artist's intention (or lack thereof).

I like the design, but people here need to lighten up a little. It's an illustration, perhaps an allegory of sorts, not real people.

People get their panties in a twist over the slightest things.

Personally I like depressing content, be it on a shirt, music, movies or art in general. Happiness is overrated. Bring on the morbidity and melancholy, I say.
