Not sure if others are looking at it right. But I think it's very clever. I would buy.

why is there a thong stuck in a slice of bread?
tHoRNed
tHoRNed on Feb 14 '06
it's not a slice of bread. it's a view of a flip-flop from behind. they used to be called thongs instead of flip-flops, or perhaps they still are (but not where i live).

Why is the thong on a piece of toast?
coxiesara
coxiesara on Feb 14 '06
Wow, I just got it. At first I thought it was supposed to be a thong, like underwear, but now I see it's a thong flip-flop.

wow, don't be so cruel. the definition of thong as underwear is just an unfortunate american/canadian meaning. from the artist's perspective this is a very politically correct sub.

Wow I didn’t think that this submission would cause as much aggression as it has. I think that most have made an assumption that I was referring to “I love thongs” as the underwear. What I meant was the summer sandal most incredibly ideal for hot climates! By finding this funny I meant that so many people wear shirts that say something about what they love, and to promote the type of foot wear that you like is funny.

Just a side note for the North Americans: In Australia the thong is a national emblem, symbolizing an easy-going outlook.

as an australian... very noice! don't listen to those haters. good one.

IT'S AN EXCELLENT CONCEPT... PERHAPS YOU SHOULD ANGLE THE SANDLE A BIT TO MAKE IT A TOUCH MORE OBVIOUS THAT IT IS INDEED A SANDLE... NOT A SLICE OF BREAD. I NEVER SAW A PIECE OF BREAD... I JUST THOUGHT THAT WAS A RATHER LARGE MAN POUCH... BUT THEN I SAW THE INTENDED DESIGN. STAY CLEVER.

I got it right away too. And it is funny, but I wouldn't wear it on a shirt.
