Of all people to mess with, don't mess with Disney. They're scary people when it comes to copyright.

Eh, I don't really care about copyright infringement. People here flip out over things that could never form a real lawsuit.

But I do care about t-shirt designs. And this one is pretty dumb.

haven't any of you dorks heard of a parody?
cambert
cambert on Feb 07 '06
In what conceivable sense is this a parody of Disney? What "criticism or comment" about Disney's original work does this make (to use the words of the legal ruling)? Keep your idiot myths to yourself TL and quit pronouncing on things you don't know shit about. Dork.

although Micky Mouse should've fallen under Public Domain by now... never misunderstimate the power of a good corporate lobby squad.

Everyone's a lawyer.....except cambert. As far as I can tell he's either a stinky cheese, or an idiot.

Wow, there's a lot of hostility in here. Keep in mind that even parody isn't always free. Weird Al needs the premission of every artist he does a song parody of. In the interim, everyone should have a gander at this:

http://www.publaw.com/parody.html

"A parody, because it is a method of criticism, must inevitably make use of another creative work. This inherently creates a conflict between the creator of the work that is being parodied (as no one likes to be criticized, made fun of or ridiculed) and the creator of the parody. It is also highly unlikely that a copyright owner will grant permission or a license to a parodist to use their copyright protected work in creating a parody. "
