placement is ok, it think i'd have preferred it slightly bleeding onto the side of the shirt or somthing

I like the orange one, seems more typical than the green one. I thought the green one was covered in slime not melting so I would stick with the orange one. Very fun, that is some hot asphalt all right.

but your aggressive placements are wrong -- you know that, right? i think it needs to be centered over the nipple.... still off-center, but more reasonable. the shoulder is about "fliers" not bulk. listen to stevie woner: "too high"....

dan, you asked me to elaborate about my comments (which waxed lee-klein-wards, sorry).

i think that there's a certain kind of design that wants to "fly away" that can go up past the curve of the shirt towards the collarbone. it disappears, as part of the effect. this design is "whole" and needs to remain on the plane of the chest. i think this design wants to "end" above the armpit line but below the collarbone (below the place where the curve starts).. it still marks the curve of the neckline, but it also stays front and center.

which is what i meant. the placement against the curve of the neck is very clever. but i think you've gone too far.

I like the orange colored version.

Although this is a great looking illustration, there is something lacking when it comes to being a t-shirt. Maybe I just don't like the size or placement of your image.
