The words are an alphabetical translation of japanese words with positive meaning.

This is a strip based on the mix of occidental and manga worlds.

I think it says "please do your best" (it's a little hard to see that text in the upper left) and "it's cool to try hard!" or "cool - try your best!" depending on whether that bottom text bubble is supposed to be one sentence or two.

If anyone actually speaks Japanese fluently please feel free to correct me.

I also think there is too much going on here, especially since the panel of the blast hitting the house looks more like the house has just fallen because of all the vertical lines, although I really like how clearly you were able to lay out the panels in only 4 colors .

Wow, and the winner for the most Ethnocentric Comment of the Day is..... Squashy Dog Mess, with his scintillating critique to remind us, one and all, to *ahem* "Draw America" and not "Japan-junk." Also, for forgetting that Threadless is not strictly an American community, he is once again handed the title: American Jerk!

Manga is soft core porn!! This is a soft core drawn comic. it's ok....but, could use some work. The images are a bit first-grade drawn.

Well... thanks for the comments even if some of them are a bit... well, negative. The fact is that I don't really think some cultures may kill others. And my work is obvously not a flag of my country/culture/whatever, and I really don't know why it should be this... This is just a drawing. That's all.

The limitations on use of colours was well overcome ith this one. Not my style generally but well done for what it is indeed. Funky design.

first of all, it's G A N B A T T E.

Secondly adding those two words together makes NO sense whatsoever.

The small letterings: Ikimasho = lets go.

Ganbatte Kudasai ne: Please word hard, please try your best/ please do your best.

Fadeawayj: gambatte is standard Hepburn romanization, so both are acceptable. Saying this makes "NO sense" is dangerous with a language as context-dependent as Japanese.

More importantly, ikimashou (行きましょう) needs the u at the end.

If you're going to do this kind of culture-borrowing, fine, but please get it right. Because I like Japan, I hate seeing T-shirts or anything commercially produced with incorrect Japanese (thinkgeek has biru for beer), because it's all about the cool factor and we rush to market without checking.
