Yeah, I left the hands off. When I was drawing this body it had hands.. but then I pulled it into illustrator to work on it, and then decided to take them off.
The dot patern comes from (since someone asked) from a halftone patern I made from part of a newspaper print. |

At first I thought it was a parking meter until I looked closer. I love the idea behind the design, it would indeed be cool to have heads like that and see for miles. Would we eat quarters then?

Unfortunately, if you leave the hands off, the message of the image suddenly changes from "wouldn't it be cool if we all had heads like this so we could see really far away?" and becomes, "I can't draw hands. Please look at my weird head-thing and please be distracted enough by it to not notice that I can't draw hands." Even if you CAN draw hands. If you leave off hands and feet, the immediate message is, "I can't draw hands or feet and I am trying to hide that fact."

I have to really dissagree with Rahna. This illustration in NO WAY says I can't draw hands. If you don't like the concept, thats one thing... ripping on it because I chose not to include the hands is another.
Speak for yourself next time. Just for that... I'm going to make my next submission all about hands, and how I can draw them. hahahaha wow I sound like a jerk huh? thats pretty cool. :) |
