Me too. At least I aced the freaking AP test. Well I didn't. I got a 3 and napped for 30 minutes during it, but I still passed. Way to go. $4.

I think that all the boxes need to be filled correctly and then someone has come along and stenciled or graffed on the chart, I'm not entirelt sold on your execution but the idea is very appealling because it is so true |

ummm...not to be a killjoy or anything, but most of the chemical symbols you used don't even exist. And even if they were, they would be in the wrong places. That's the ironic thing though....you hated it, and therefore maybe never learned the true chemicals. BUT, as soon as I saw this shirt, it made my day because I was taking chemistry just recently and dropped it like a bad habit as soon as I could. I would for sure wear this shirt and pay a visit to the chem department. I can see it now.....

Surprisingly, I liked Chemistry even though sciences are not my strongest thing. Now, biology is what I hated. Nice job, though! I agree that it should have all the elements filled...looks kindof empty. Maybe the boxes that don't have anything in them should just be filled with elements like the rest of them were? The I Hate Chemistry part would still stand out. :]

it's a good idea - a little too obvious. maybe if you only used part of the periodic table and then used letters that were similar size and shape it would be funnier

i liked chemistry but this shirt is nifty. i agree that there should be some scribbling(of different formulas, etc.) and that the table should look more authentic making the words a little more subtle. otherwise cool idea. can you make one for math?! i hate math.

You could have a person / thing pulling the element blocks from the table and forming the sentance, leaving the holes where the letters would be. The person / thing (it could be a beaker, test tube, burner) could line up the letters down below the table like ABC building blocks... Just an idea... |

too simple illustration. it just looks like a bunch of boxes with two letters in each. although i do recognize it as a periodic table i would make it look more like one. but i dont know what would do it. hahah do the atomic weight. that would be fun. jk. or... distinguish the metals, metalloids etc. but that may push you to too many colors. great idea though. and great job. still giving you a five because i wouldn't know what to fix with it.

I like the idea, but it'd be too small to read at all from a distance. Maybe choose a memorable section of it...
But if this is modified somehow based on what people are saying here, to make it more creative and easy to read, I will buy it. "I failed chemistry." could be another possible choice of text... (I don't hate it, but I almost failed.) |

i love chemistry!!! favourite subject (don't care if i sound weird) also, that t-shirt would annoy me coz it's wrong (as in the elements don't spell out i hate chemistry) i know thts not the points but... also, i think it would look a bit better if you put on the atomic and mass numbers (or fake ones) but i suppose it really wouldn't be right then... i dunno

starr226 on Jan 27 '06 those missing blocks are incredibly frustrating. especially since you could've filled them, and still used two initial blocks like you wanted to.
...but everyone likes when people use the periodic table. back in the 80s it was uber-common, especially when things like this: http://www.popartuk.com/humour/periodic-table-of-mixology-pp0297-poster.asp ...were so common. It's been done before, and, sadly, in this case just not been done very well. it seems like little effort was put into it past the concept phase, which is too bad - really a design failure to make it more than just what it is. |

This is soooo nerdy. Like, if I was seen wearing this, someone would spot the periodic table and run a mile and not bother coming close enough to read that I infact didn't like chemistry. Because you'd have to look pretty close to see that it was an anti-chem shirt.

I know that if I saw someone wearing a shirt with the periodic table on it, I would give it a second glance, and when I saw what it actually said, I would hug them and become their best friend. my mom owns a sweatshirt that spells out "chocolate" with REAL elements from the periodic table. it's much better designed because it has only those elements and not the squarish table across her chest.
