I like it. I think the center placement is better than near the shoulder and the gray is better, too. 4.

The pencils prevent the hand from looking like a hand.

The whole shirt needs to have the lined paper
as the background to this design. Too bad Threadless doesn't do that sort of thing. |

I like the disign much better on the darker tee with the design on the right shoulder.

if it's off center it looks like the hand is about to write something.
but it never will. the suspense is devastating. what would it write?! and i was thinking about the lined-paper-background yesterday. I think it's very possible. |

montmont on Jan 24 '06 it looks a little rough, like the line quality is poor, perhaps that is to make it look more like actual pencil marks, but I think it distracts from the drawing a little

I like this but I think you should put it on the shoulder opposite the one you pictured.

montmont: yes, the poor line quality was intentional. originally i had it with very smooth lines, and i thought the rougher looked better. however, if chosen for print that's something that can be very easily changed. so can placement.

just a thought on placement though....I think for this design the point of interest should have the most space ...so basically that would be the pencils point meaning it should be on the right shoulder. |

but not over to the left! if anything, i'd move it slight up and to the right. it wants to write into the chest, not away from it. imho of course |

I like the idea a lot and the illustration is nice. The rough line style is good, but the hand is holding the pencil a little strangely as far as I can tell. Maybe redraw the hand as if it is actually about to write something?
Otherwise very nice. 4. |
