We've seen designs where contrast happens below the water or ground surface. This could work better with stronger lines. Or keep the sketch feel and get deeper color.

montmont on Jan 18 '06 hmm, I like the idea, of a dual layered animal or monster, but I guess there are so many octopuses on this site that I've become a little jaded. In saying, the actual drawing style is interesting with nice line quality in the bottom section.
