...and I'm proud of it.
Hahahaha, while I personally am not Jewish I have a good deal of friends who are. Wearing this would certainly raise an eyebrow or two.
Nice concept and good composition. $5. |
This is the coolest design although it's sad that not everyone can wear it. I probably would anyway :P
yiddish phrase a day calendar, january 9th:
"genosn oyfn emes" --"the sneeze confirms the truth." i don't know what the hell that means, but "the truth" is that this shirt rocks. therefore, "achoo." |
I'm jewish and it doesn't seem offensive or anything, i see no reason not to wear it, ex cept i cant see what a lot of it says. Maybe do a preview in Flash where we can zoom in?
I live in a place thats less than 1% jewish. It would be really cool to wear this and make people think twice before the automatically assumer I worship jesus.
Oysgeputst in esik un honik! I hope this gets made. It looks a little like Matisyahu (the jewish raggae singer)....you should suggest it to him, if threadless doesn't make it....$5
You got inspired by Pascal Duval???
( Computer Arts Projects | Illustration issue 79) but you did okay... outline for the hat wasn't neccesary. |
By the way, Dorissey, "genosn oyfn emes" was usually said after someone sneezed because of the superstitious belief that anything that was said right before someone sneezed was the truth.
oh and i think torah is supposed to have an h on the end. im not sure cus its a transliteration but it makes more sense with a h
im not jewish, but just wanted to say congrats on an excellent illustration. Great application and consideration to colour and scale.
The Tora Tora Tora! is a reference to the movie "Tora Tora Tora!" about the bombing of Pearl Harbor, not the religious text the Torah, so it's correctly spelled, "no one important" :)
with the recent popularity of Matisyahu and the rest of our chosen coulture, i'd be proud to wear this to any shul, b'nei mitzvah or shiva sitting.
WOUAAAAW
what a bomb shmoo you re realy the best this is one of your diamond hurry to open your website people have to know what kind of bombastic things you re making |
If there were a follow-up which had writing in other languages not just English -- Hebrew, say -- I would buy that one! Nice!
This is hilarious! Not mystyle, but i think i know other people who would love this. Namely jews with a sense of humor.
I hope this gets printed, because I've already shown the design to a friend and I now have to buy it for him for his birthday.
The way the vines make the side of the beard and the menorah makes the front of the hat etc. - lots of great little touches. Im glad you went all the way.
very Pascal Duvall, which ain't a bad thing.
I wouldn't wear it though just cause it a religious thing |
I LOVE THIS SHIRT!!! Matisyahu fan I bet. "Chop Em Down" I'd get the shirt just for that. Freaken love it!
I'm not Jewish, but I love this! I usually don't like religion shirts, but this doesn't seem to be degrading at all! ......I'd wear it.... even though I'm not Jewish.

I am currently a girl in a Christian community who is leaning towards the Jewish way of one of her grandmothers. AWESOME $5 |
