-Do some of these names look familiar to you?-Red letters explain why!-:)
i'm nowhere on this
United we blog? Is it a list of bloggers?
I've said this before...
I think the Adam Antium needs to be within the bubble, or needs to be underneath as a signature. the current placement looks like an "oops".
but I love the design. you've done a great job at working with all those elements. and what I like about this shirt is that it conveys the culture of the internet, of community chat, of blogging regardless of whether you know who the names are. all the names could just be examples of the crazy things people use.
way to bring back the love of type.
Well, you've got about 79 people that I'm sure will like it... aside from that, too much of a clique thing to get widespread appeal. Nice use of space and text variation and/or manipulation, though.
Also, not quite sure if I like your name bleeding out the bottom of the word balloon---looks out of place, regardless of whether or not it was intentional.
wahh, i should be on
the red letters spell
"united we blog"
you clever, clever person
My name was supposed to be of the colour of the tshirt...as a signature...so it's a little "out of border"...
Maybe this was a bad idea!
While the concept and execution is nice, I can't see this being printed seeing as how it only caters to a small group of people.
I'm pretty sure that the people listed on the shirt aren't the bulk of the threadless consumer group, and I for one wouldn't want to wear the name Stevethegreat on MY body.
You did a good job, and for that I'll give it a $3.
well i think hes got about 80 guaranteed buyers which is roughly $1280 and that doesnt include shipping costs.....
i give it 5$ because my name includes one of the Red Letters.
staffell: Remember though, if the design won, the designer gets $1000 in cash and prizes. So at the end of it all Threadless would only make $280 for printing it and that's assuming everyone listed on the shirt buys it.
i love you adam antium and if this doesnt get printed then you need to print it
why would I want to wear a bunch of other people's names on my shirt? screen names at that.
and it's not guaranteed sales to the people on the shirt, but it's almost guaranteed NOT a sale for everyone else.
This reminds me of my senior shirt in high school, where everyone signs in the letters of your graduating year, and they make it into a shirt. But on that, everyone was on it.
strange but intruiging ^^ good job <3
I'm kind of lost as to why you (adam) think anyone that is NOT on the shirt would ever want to buy/wear this. And I totally agree with the high school senior class shirt feel.
That aside, you did an excellent job of mixing typefaces and spacing.
And you totally look like wolverine in your profile pic. Rock on, bub.
5$ just because i can
Silly premise. No thanks, blog haters. 0
i knew a bunch of non-bloggers wouldnt like this,w e all will, though. you should print it yourself. obviously, im gonna give it a good score
Looks great, I think. But I agree, it wouldn't sell too great. I'd only buy it if my name was on it :\
I'm scoring it well though! No worries there :)
EXCELLENT font usage.
I especially love how in some cases the font fits the user perfectly (like Shimala's is TALL, travis looks army issue, littlem's is classic, and eskimokiss looks like the font he uses to tag his name on his subs).
Yeah, it's a nice idea. But you know where I stand.. and it's not on the t-shirt :)
I get the red O, that's crazy.
I'm giving it a 5
Damn, yo, I'm a bit jealous of those who made it on there. If I had less numbers in my name I would've made it. 5 for the inside jokery of it all, though.
I like it. 5.
The people you put on there may like this, but as for the tons of other people, we're going to be annoyed. =P
I wish the speech balloons resembled
the boxy-with-rounded-corners speech
balloons seen throughout Threadless
( like at the top of this page and next
to each comment).
This is getting a three.
Only because i'm not on there.
pfft... im not on.
2, for the idea and execution. it wont get printed and if by some strange chance it does it definitely wont sell... no one knows like most of the bloggers outside threadless blogging-ness, therefore its not gonna go to far... sorrys.
skip, how did you not end up getting on, werent you on an earlier version? and you're defiently one of the bloggers, a lot more than some of those people there
i dont see my name. zero...just kidding! :D
zero cuz im not on there.
jk i like it.
so many new bloggies..i dont recognize some of them but most of the old regulars are there
nice how some of the fonts match the users' personalities
lost the text and i'm 5$ then...
why doesn't easy jack want my name on his shirt?
I would buy it
lol.....dont worry steve, I would wear your name.
everyone that's not on there is going to give you a pretty bad score.
so that's what? like thousands of people?
Who cares about them! We ROCK!
i'm on it.
sweet united we blog clever I like how you hide that message in the red letters
hahaha, awesome^^ to heck with everyone else!
this is so darned cute:)
Oh nothing against you Steve. You were the first one to pop in my mind considering you have a post in the blog forum almost every 2 seconds. ;)
new years resolution : must stop blogging as much ... seriously, that was one of my resolutions hahhahahaa
good for you adam, wade it go and have some fun
awesome, I love this! Great job Adam. 5$, of course!
Whoa, I'm on there! Who woulda thought?
this shirt was bound to lead to an interesting little comment blog, now wasn't it? the great white egos, all coming to the surface....
my favorite line of thought is thinking about whether or not it will be printed as part of the vote, here. folks,, this vote is about whether you like the shirt. threadless will think through the economics. your vote has very little to do with whether or not they print something like this.
i think andy warhol did a similar kind of artwork once, a list of the names of all the people most active in purchasing art in the new york modern art scene. oh, the ego! complaints by people who weren't on the list. warm joy from people who were on the list. of course, the painting was purchased by someone who wasn't on the list, and has been shown in private ever since. revenge!
that was a little different from this one. here, adam blogged about the submission for a week or so, and added people who noticed they weren't on the list. so people who blog regularly had a chance to bring themselves to adam's notice.... kind of like if andy had solicited volunteers to be on the painting.
but that would miss the point. the shirt isn't about being on it. even by the time it's printed (a month from now? six months from now if it's on the Club 12?), many of the names will have stopped blogging, and there will be active bloggers who aren't on the list. if you can get past ego, the shirt is just about a huge community of screen-names all talking with one another. it could have been made up names. i think it's more fun with real names. and then it had to be one person's set of names. which it is.
i like it. i'd buy it. i'll work to get it printed if threadless doesn't want it. good job, adam.
I'm on the top!!!
$5 because I want to wear my name...
