There have been lots of octopi and squid lately, yes.

This is very clever, but the brown-on-dkblue screams "UGLY" to me. Tone the colors so they match a bit more. Right now, the octopus looks like he just doesn't belong, and that's hurting you.

Brightside - Yeah, there are quite a few octopus submissions lately! I hadn't rated stuff for a while, and now suddenly, here they are. I guess it's the new monkey/giraffe -- weird how this stuff comes in waves.

nice idea, and good design. I wouldn't wear because I'm not much of a animal shirt guy. I'm sure a lot of people would wear it though. oh, dark blue and dark brown do look good together, at least with brown pants and a navy blue shirt IMHO. this brown isn't so dark though

I agree that the bubbles could be a bit less linear,and I think you could tweak the tentacles to they aren't all totally parallel. Maybe make the octopus red? Somehow that says "octopus" to me more than the gold.
