its originally chinese letters, but japanese have taken some of those characters to use for their language in kanji too--i like it

This is pretty... aside from the brush, it's got nice balance.
The brush doesn't look like a japanese/chinese calligraphy brush (sorry, don't mean to be anal) I think it'd be perfectly fine without it |

The design is a nice concept, although the brush does look a little out of place... maybe angle it so it looks like it's doing the writing? Right now it looks like it was placed down after the fact... in which case, scoot it away a litle bit from the lines.
It would look best on a cream or beige, I think. |

I hope you know "japanese" is not spelt "japaneese", because you misspelt it on your submission as well as your first comment..
Anyway, I find the design a bit... um... boring? I agree, it's a /nice/ design, but it doesn't really stand out as anything special for me. |

well since the word "japaneese" isn't going to be on there anywhere I hardly think it's an issue....
TFM, the things that I was talking about was that the strokes didn't come from the tip of the brush and the end of the stroke gets smaller and bigger and smaller again. I guess if they're not a problem to you don't worry about it but they're the first things I notice. Still, really nice job on this. |

oh the other japanese, eh, i was rushed because it was about to be put up and i emailed craig telling him to replace it with this one because i liked this one alot better. it was a photo finish.
