Years ago I had this idea to draw/paint/whatever a ladybug/watch creature, but I really didn't feel like I had the skill to pull something like that off. So the idea kinda fell through before I even ever got a sketch done and I forgot about it. About a week ago I found a photo of the really neat watch I took for this idea in my sketchbook and I remembered the whole thing! I thought it would make a cool t-shirt design and I actually felt like I could now pull this off in Illustrator. So here's the results!

The watch was a Seiko I believe (I only took photos of it pried apart so I'm not sure.)

And it's only 3 colors on the chocolate! (4 on black and burgundy.) I'm not too keen on the burgundy but some people expressed a liking for it so I decided to include. I will definitely tweak the colors for that shirt color though. Check for close-ups in my profile. :>

I actually really like this, I think it would be cool if they really made these and had them in pocket watch format, so when its all closed up it would look like a lady bug and when yo open it for the time it drops out its innards.

this is beautiful * details rock. it would be great if it was at the right or left side of thwe shirt not in the middle... not a very big fan of the colors, I would like to see some red or pink in the design :) that's just me * good luck

Smaller and to one side. Maybe lengthen the weight chains to give it more of a full-length torso design.

I like this. (When I was a kid, I had a ladybug radio that opened like this when you turned it on. But I liked the design even before I remembered that.)

I do not know how feasible this placement would be though, mostly because of the possibility of the design being too small and detailed to print properly.

really trippy design! The goldish color for the lady bug watch is a bit odd with the black, but makes sense since it's a watch-mechanical-thing. Ish. But yeah, I like it alot. Definitly 5 + $

ladybugs are dangerous creatures. they fly and attack you with their false cuteness. however, as one can never be too mad at a ladybug for it's deception i have to say this ladybug sub is beautiful. good work.
