I might be wrong but I'm getting a sense that this a reference to some big painting on the ceiling of some chuch in some foreign land. Maybe we could see more of that, or put the hands at an angle (I would put the robot hand higher). Also the border is a little bit awkward since the design does not extend to it.
Bytheway I clicked the Play button on your animation and I didn't see it do anything, just so you know.

Suggestion: Avoid the flashing color T-shirt animation... it's too difficult to focus on the design when it's blinking. Cute concept, but there's just something about the hand and robot claw that looks off. Maybe it's the lines... hmm...

Somebody looking at this at a glance would most likely not get it's a reference to the painting in the Sistine Chapel. What if you were to draw the entire painting in cartoon form? It would make for a more interesting image, and it would be understandable as well.

..and you could maybe make both hands emerging right from the borderline. Also, I think I'd try loosing the fill color.

I like the concept.
