Did you guys know that the blue-ringed octopus is one of the most venomous creatures in the world? Although it is only about the size of a golf ball, it produces a powerful neurotoxin that could kil a human within minutes. Its spots become an iridescent blue color when agitated—kind of like a mood ring. This paricular specimen is not very agitated.
Fine composition. Evokes nouveau-kitsch with a "Life Aquatic" sort of sensibility. I'd wear it. If I had kids, I'd make them wear it. And if I had a dog, he'd wear it too, but the sleaves would be cut off to accomodate his canine bulk.
along el balazo's line of thought, i'd buy it if there was an extended finger coming to poke it, or a kid with a stick, and have some of the rings bright blue.. or on the back have the 'after' image of fully blue ringed fella with a stressed, reddened, bitten finger..
I'm relatively new to this site, and I guess that any sort of octopus/squid/cephalopod design is a current Threadless faux pas. So I apologize for the perceived lack of creative energy softly ebbing from your computer screen. I've submitted more designs that hopefully won't tread on already well-trodden ground.
