The characters are OMG (great!), but the white-on-blue really bugs me... i don't think it would transfer well as a t-shirt, but i don't know what else you could do to make it better... i don't know if the details would stick out enough if you just put outlines in a black or non-black colour on a (light-coloured) shirt (as opposed to filling them in with white).
