Just a thought - it might be better with the full word 'checkmate'. Here in the UK, that symbol is called a 'tick', rather than a 'check mark'. Good clean drawing though.

I really like the idea and illustration, except that the head on the king looks disjointed. Otherwise, nice.

To make it a checkmate there would have to be a piece that's guarding the Queen in case the player choose to attack the Queen rather than fleeing. I like the idea but I can't help but think of that one move that I always seemed to lose my Queen from.

i dont think right now is the best time for this shirt. It's a bit to closely designed in relation to "you cannot come-you are a mere pawn" shirt.
I think you'll get a lot of low votes because people believe you are trying to copy very good design. I like the "*check*mate" |

yeah, i agree with the cap'n
make the queen knocking over the king or standing over him rather you could do it really cool if you used the traditional piece faces, too so it's like, old-school chess but with a sassy twist ... hah |

i haven't read the comments, so someone else might have pointed it out already; but, this is not checkmate. sorry, but it kind of kills it for me ... and i would assume for anyone who actually plays chess.

....I can't believe people don't get that its not supposed to be check mate like the chess check mate but like chess "MATING" . I got it right away, and I love it. Definate buy.
