I drew the outlines by hand, scanned the pencil drawing, and cleaned up the vectors after auto-tracing in Corel Draw. It took me many, many hours, but I think the result is cool and worth the work. I was inspired by the 1960s San Francisco / Bill Graham rock scene posters.

I second that last comment.
I do like the way it is set up, and the color choices.

I don't like a lot of words and I don't like mispelled words. It's aesteicaly (sp?) pleasing but I doubt anyone would take the time to try to read it.

"I don't like mispelled words."

I don't see what you're talking about.

I wouldn't mind wearing the shirt and I do like it.

It just looks like a big square on a shirt. Eh.

"I don't like mispelled words."

Are you talking about "favourite"?
That's not mispelled.

I like it.

Keep in mind, it's only going to look like a "big square on a shirt" if you're looking at it from across the street. There is a pixel limit, and the images have to be small.

Take time to look at the images in the design. There are more than just words.

Also, recognize "favourite" (even though I am an American designer) is an attempt at globalization of Threadless. It's more of a political statement than anything.

I love it. Maybe the staff will think it's kitschy and good advertising for their company. :)

coxiesara, ever hear of the British?

The image next to the word "wear" looks like an American flag to me.

If it isn't just me thinking that: why spell the British way?

This would not be one of my favourite threadless shirts. It would definitely look mushy from a distance.

Schadenfreude_world on Dec 12 '05
This isn't supposed to be your favorite Threadless shirt.

The shirt says, "Official Wear Your Favourite Threadless T-Shirt Day • Week • Year • 2006"

Meaning, it's like a designated holiday to wear your favorite design. Whether it be this one (today), or a few others (for a designated weeklong threadless holiday), or all of them you own (for "wear your favourite threadless t-shirt year") It's a promotional tool.

People, take some acid or something (kidding) ---- expand your mind!

(Note: If you stare at the design long enough, it becomes 3-D, and you will see Jefferson Airplane live at the Fillmore.)

i'd like this design a lot better if it wasn't just constrained to the box-shape, it if was all over the shirt i think it would be pretty sweet

Well, thanks for the feedback. I did say that it was inspired by promotional rock posters, which are rectangular and "promotional" by their very nature.

Threadless has printed their name on shirts before, and I think someone, somewhere, bought it and wore it.

Oh well, thanks anyway, I still like it.
